This unique design feature ensures that the bullet tip remains perfect throughout flight, not melting under friction heat like other polymer-tipped rounds. This feature ensures that these .224-inch Hornady ELD Match rounds feature the highest ballistic coefficients of any round in its class, ensuring better accuracy and more consistency between lots. The bullets are also constructed with an optimized secant ogive and a boattail design, ensuring that their BC is as efficient as possible. Each .224-inch ELD Match bullet weighs 88 grains and features a G1 and G7 ballistic coefficient of .545 and .274, respectively.
