Chambered in 45-70 Govt, the new 1895 SBL features a 19” threaded barrel fitted with a matchpolished thread protector. The barrel is made of 410 stainless steel and is cold hammer-forged with six-groove rifling. The receiver is machined from a 416 stainless steel forging and the breech bolt is made of a high-strength, aircraft-grade chrome-moly steel. The bolt is spiral-fluted and nickel-plated for an attractive appearance and very smooth cycling. The big loop lever is made of 416 stainless steel and has smooth edges that go easy on the hand.
